First-Time Log In

Log in for the first time, change your password, create a shortcut, and complete your initial SILO training.

1. Accessing SILO for the First Time

You will receive:

  • A secure login URL

  • An initial password (from your IT administrator or compliance lead)

Browser recommendation:
Use Google Chrome for best performance. SILO also supports Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.


2. Creating a Desktop Shortcut (Windows)

  1. Copy your SILO login URL.

  2. Right-click your desktop.

  3. Select New > Shortcut.

  4. Paste the SILO URL into the location field.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Enter a shortcut name.

  7. Click Finish.

You now have one-click access to SILO from your desktop.


3. Logging In (with Two-Factor Authentication)

  1. Enter your email and initial password.

  2. Click Log In.

  3. Check your inbox for a one-time code from [email protected].

  4. Enter the code in SILO to proceed.

4. Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Settings > User Settings.

  2. Enter a new password (min. 8 characters, including numbers, letters, and symbols).

  3. Confirm the password.

  4. Click Save.

Best practice: Use a strong, unique password to protect client data.


5. Accessing Training and Resources

  1. Go to Training > My Training.

  2. Click the blue magnifying glass to launch the training module.

  3. Watch the introductory video.

  4. Review downloadable materials under the Documents tab.

  5. Complete the Quiz to verify understanding.

Training Tracking:

  • SILO automatically logs your completion and scores

  • Compliance and management teams can review your training status

  • Complete all required modules promptly
