Why Password Security Matters

  • SILO stores personal identity and due diligence data

  • Unauthorized access could lead to data breaches or regulatory penalties

  • SILO records every change under the logged-in user’s name

Never share your login credentials with anyone.

When to Change Your Password

  • Immediately after receiving your initial login credentials

  • If you suspect your password may have been compromised

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to SILO

  2. Navigate to:
    Settings > User Settings

  3. Enter your new password twice

  4. Click Save

Password Requirements & Best Practices

  • Must be 8–20 characters

  • Use a combination of:

    • Uppercase and lowercase letters

    • Numbers

    • Symbols (e.g., !, @, #)

  • Avoid:

    • Common words or keyboard sequences (e.g., “qwerty”)

    • Names, birthdays, or other guessable personal information

    • Reusing passwords used in other applications

Important Reminders

  • Never allow another person to log in using your credentials

  • Every profile update in SILO is timestamped and attributed to your user ID

  • Shared passwords compromise audit logs and system integrity
