To protect sensitive client information, SILO requires Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all users. This enhances security by requiring:

  • Your password

  • A 6-digit verification code sent to your email

Each login triggers a new code to be sent, ensuring secure access.

Why 2FA Is Required

Client and customer due diligence data contains personally identifiable information (PII). This information is highly sensitive and, if compromised, can lead to:

  • Identity theft

  • Fraud

  • Regulatory non-compliance

2FA helps prevent unauthorized access and supports your firm’s data governance requirements.

How 2FA Works

  1. Login to SILO using your email address and password.

  2. After submitting your credentials, you will be prompted for a 6-digit authentication code.

  3. Check your email inbox for a message from [email protected].

  4. Enter the code into the prompt to complete the login process.

A new code is sent each time you log in.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you do not receive the code:

  • Check your spam/junk folder.

  • Ask your IT team to whitelist [email protected].

  • If the issue persists, contact SILO Support.

Security Best Practices

  • Never share your login credentials. Each user's activity is tracked in SILO.

  • If someone else assigned your password, change it immediately.

  • Use a strong, unique password that is not reused in other systems.
