1. Understanding the High-Risk Connections Tag
SILO does not include connected profile risk scores in the calculated score of a corporate or trust profile.
Each director, shareholder, or beneficial owner must be risk-rated independently.
The tag is a visual alert for users to consider EDD or escalation when a high-risk connection exists.
2. Where the High-Risk Tag Appears
The tag appears when a high-risk connection is present—active or historical:
Top of Main Profile Page
Connections Page
Former connections still trigger the tag, ensuring historical risks remain visible for compliance decisions.
3. Best Practices for Risk Rating Connected Profiles
Assign a risk rating to each connected profile:
Directors
Shareholders
Beneficial Owners
High-risk connections should inform the compliance officer’s overall risk determination.
For profiles with multiple high-risk connections, escalate to a senior reviewer or consider enhanced due diligence (EDD).
4. Configuring High-Risk Ratings in SILO
To manage and adjust high-risk categories:
Go to Administration > Risk Ratings
Review existing labels for clarity and consistency
Update or add new high-risk categories if needed
Confirm that rating labels reflect your internal risk categorization model.
