When an Initial Screen is performed in SILO, a PDF screening report is generated and saved to the profile.
The type of report generated depends on the outcome of the screening review:
Match identified
No match identified
In both scenarios, SILO ensures that screening activity is formally documented and stored within the profile.
How Initial Screening Works
When you run an Initial Screen:
SILO performs the search using the profile information available.
Any potential hits are returned for review.
The user assesses the results and determines whether:
A hit is a true match, or
The results do not relate to the individual or entity being screened.
Once this determination is made, SILO generates the appropriate screening report automatically.
If a Match Is Confirmed
Where a hit is determined to be a match:
A detailed screening report is generated.
The report contains the full information associated with the matched individual or entity.
The document is saved automatically to the profile’s Documents tab.
This forms part of the documented compliance record for that profile.
If No Match Is Identified
Where screening results are reviewed and determined not to be a match:
A No Match Report is generated.
The report confirms that no matches were identified following review.
The document is saved automatically to the profile’s Documents tab.
The No Match Report records:
The profile information used in the search (e.g. full name, date of birth, jurisdiction(s), and other available criteria)
The screening date and time
The user who conducted the screen
A clear statement confirming that no matches were found
Where Reports Are Stored
All Initial Screening reports — whether Match or No Match — are automatically stored in the profile’s Documents tab.
No manual upload or additional action is required.
Compliance Context
Documenting both matched and non-matched screening outcomes supports:
Complete audit trails
Evidence of screening activity
Transparency in how search criteria were applied
Clear records of user determinations
Maintaining a record of screening decisions — including clean outcomes — helps demonstrate consistent control operation and regulatory defensibility.
